A novel structure of all-optical optimised NAND, NOR and XNOR logic gates employing a Y-shaped plasmonic waveguide for better performance and high-speed computations

All-optical devices have demonstrated a broad range of applications in the communication field. These serve as fundamental building blocks sophisticated integrated circuits. By integrating these into fields such signal processing, chip design, and network computations, it is possible to achieve much more efficient device. This paper describes design all-optical logic gates NAND, NOR, XNOR using plasmonic-based Y-shaped power combiner. The combiner employs concept linear interference generate desired gates. work simulated analysed MATLAB finite-difference time domain method. current framed within 60 µm2 area which less than size existing structures. parameters characterising insertion loss, transmission efficiency, extinction ratio are calculated compared those variety other designs.
